Visiting Lectureship

We would like to draw your attention to the visiting lectureship initiative at the Institute of Middle and Far East of the Jagiellonian University in Krakow (Poland). With the main aim of the initiative to develop and enrich our current Taiwan Studies offering in English, we believe that this initiative would be appropriate and of interest to you. We also believe that your expertise would help us to achieve the goal and promote academic studies on the topics related to Taiwan.

Visiting Lectureship initiative aims to offers academics and researchers in the field of Taiwan Studies the opportunity to develop and deliver courses for both undergraduate (BA) and postgraduate (MA) students on the topics related to Taiwan’s society, culture, religion, language, politics, and economics. The initiative will allow you to promote your research among students and staff of the Institute as well as engage with fellow academics with similar research interests.

Priority will be given to course proposals of 30 teaching hours or equivalent including intensive courses or workshops for small groups of students to be delivered during 2017/2018 and 2018/2019 academic year. The initiative provides accommodation, economy travel expenses and teaching fee. The initiative is open to PhD holders.

Our programme is a part of Asian Studies curriculum at the Institute of Middle and Far East, a young and vibrant academic institution within a structure of the Jagiellonian University in Krakow. Since its foundation in 1364, the University has attracted students and professors worldwide as a dynamic research and teaching centre. During your stay you should have ample opportunities to discover Krakow, its beauty and cultural richness.
